Planning a route across an AION 2 map is about more than finding a destination. What happens if one feather cannot be collected? What happens when flight energy is nearly gone, gathering loops near a revival point, or a pet-farming coordinate is complete? The October 4, 2026, 23:13:21 (UTC+8) update gives those situations clearer rules and repairs several Steam-server problems that can interrupt a new character’s progress.
Abyss feathers: cover the map without being trapped by one target
Abyss gathering now offers a “Gather Feathers” setting. Enable it to attempt all feathers on the current map, making feathers a deliberate part of a map-wide gathering plan rather than an occasional detour.
A full-map plan needs a way to handle a target that cannot be reached or collected. Each feather has its own three-minute timeout. If it has not been gathered within that period, the routine discards that feather and can continue with other targets. The rule does not stop the entire gathering session after three minutes; it prevents one feather from monopolizing the route.
The release also fixes a case where gathering near a revival point returned the character to that point. For Asmodian melee characters, the Abyss now includes default patrol coordinates. One change removes an unintended return trip; the other provides a starting patrol location. Both matter when the goal is to keep work on the map moving.
Flight energy: a potion when the reserve falls below 15%
Travel across the Abyss or between gathering points can involve significant flying. When energy falls below 15% during flight, the system now uses a flight potion and automatically recognizes all flight potions. It triggers below 15%, not merely upon reaching 15%. An earlier update improved the timing of takeoff in Auto Quest and Auto Gathering to reduce detours. This update addresses the other half of the trip: keeping a flight going once it has started.
Pet and mount farming: work outward from the nearest point
The Auto Combat module now includes automated pet and mount farming. Once enabled, it selects the closest eligible coordinate on the current map. After that coordinate is fully farmed, it moves to the next. It can farm several pet types at the same coordinate, so shared locations can be handled together before the character travels again.
That is a practical routing rule: start near the character, finish a point, then change points. The search remains on the current map; players should plan any other maps separately. Knowing that scope makes it easier to decide which character and map setup to use for a particular pet or mount goal.
Steam-server fixes that keep the route connected
The same release repairs automatic auction-house listings, automatic entry into the Abyss for gathering, and the failure to work normally after death and revival on Steam servers. They affect different stages of a routine: item handling, reaching the intended map, and recovering from an interruption. If any one stage fails, even a well-planned farming route may stop. These fixes make the new gathering and combat options more useful in a complete new-character workflow.
Recent updates already addressed 0–45 Auto Quest progression, worthwhile side quests after level 45, and cave exploration focused on Guardian Point or skill-point rewards. This release takes the next step by spelling out what happens at difficult points along the way. See the guide for configuration and the download page for the current version.
