AION 2 Korea Reveals Chapter 1's Ninth Server Matchup: What Abyss Groups Should Check

Service: Korean PLAYNC AION 2. The official Korean CM news page has published a Chapter 1 Ninth Server Matchup notice. The matching announcement graphic was circulated by the Korean Inven community on October 20, 2026. This is news about Korea’s competitive server pairings; it is not a corresponding announcement for Steam/PURPLE Global or Taiwan.

A new opponent grouping does not move your character

A matchmaking rotation and a server-transfer product solve different problems. The former determines which server communities are paired for a competitive phase. The latter, when available, actually changes the server on which an eligible character resides. The Korean ninth-round announcement concerns the matchup, not a newly granted transfer right.

Organized Abyss groups may want to revisit what they know about opponents when the next pairing is published. Attendance, objectives and communication matter regardless of which communities meet. It would be a mistake to treat a different matchup as proof of an inevitable outcome.

Verify the original image before planning

First identify your Korean server and faction. Then consult the official matchup graphic rather than an out-of-date screenshot shared without a date. If a guild reposts a table, include the original announcement link so everyone can establish which round they are discussing.

Separately verify the live maintenance status and the Abyss schedule. The existence of a ninth pairing notice does not mean every mode or event is available around the clock.

This announcement is presented as a graphic. We verified that the ninth-round Korean notice exists and that the community shared it on October 20, but could not reliably extract every individual server pair from machine-readable source material. We therefore avoid manufacturing a full lineup or printing unverified opponents. The official image is the definitive reference for a particular server.

How much does this tell Global players?

Only that Korea continues to issue periodic matchup information for its own competitive service. It does not confirm a Global timetable, opponent pool or rule change. Steam/PURPLE Global players should follow their regional PvP announcements instead.
