AION 2 Korea October 14: Brawler Rampage Gains 20% PvE Damage Tolerance

Region: Korea’s PLAYNC service. This is a change documented in the October 14, 2026 Korean patch, not a confirmed Steam/PURPLE Global adjustment.

The headline numbers in Korea’s mid-October combat pass concern PvP damage and defensive abilities across the roster. Brawler players, however, have a separate line worth watching for dungeon performance: Rampage now provides an additional 20% PvE damage tolerance.

That description is easy to misread. It does not say Brawler damage output rises by 20%, that all incoming damage is reduced by a fixed fifth in every situation, or that the bonus is active outside Rampage.

What the patch actually specifies

The new benefit is attached to the Rampage state. The listed modifier concerns PvE damage tolerance, not attack power or a direct skill multiplier. NC has not published a complete damage-formula derivation in the cited note, so it would be premature to stack the figure numerically with other mitigation effects and advertise a definitive final reduction.

A useful way for Korean-server Brawlers to evaluate the change is to compare the same enemy attack with similar equipment before and during Rampage, ideally separating other defensive buffs. The result may help explain survivability, but a combat log test is not the same thing as an official universal damage formula.

Why Rampage is central to this class

NC introduced Brawler in the Korean/Taiwanese Chapter 1 expansion in July 2026. Its announcement describes a front-line Gauntlets class built around charges and combinations. Normal and active attacks generate Rage; enough Rage triggers the Rampage state.

The October change therefore reinforces the identity of an aggressive fighter who can stay near dangerous PvE enemies during that state. It does not establish a new resource-generation rule, a new class release, or a damage buff.

The broader Korean patch also includes PvP damage changes, modified Assault defenses and defensive cooldown interactions. Those are separate mechanics: players should not sum their headline percentages with the new Brawler PvE tolerance and call it a single total bonus.

Strict regional distinction

At its October 2026 launch, Global’s listed roster has eight starting classes. Brawler was introduced later in the more advanced Korean and Taiwanese live versions. NC has not confirmed this exact Korean Brawler Rampage modifier or a Brawler launch schedule for Global. Treat this report as Korean patch analysis, not a cross-region promise.
