Region: AION 2 Korea (PLAYNC), not Steam/PURPLE Global. The Korean service received a second round of adjustments on October 14, 2026, after its larger class-balance patch. Anyone comparing the day’s announcements should account for the evening emergency maintenance rather than relying on the original morning values alone.
A same-day change to defensive skill timing
The maintenance window was announced for 18:00–19:30 Korean time on October 14, with the service reported available again once the work finished.
Its most consequential balance correction concerned cooldown reduction associated with guard/evasion mechanics. The specified reduction was lowered from 0.3 seconds to 0.1 seconds. A related defect was also corrected: passive attacks had been activating a guard skill’s cooldown-reduction effect when they should not have.
These are two separate points. The smaller number changes the reward from qualifying defensive actions, while the bug fix addresses an unintended additional trigger. They do not establish a universal cooldown penalty for every skill or every class.
Reading the Korean RvR patch in sequence
Korea’s regular October 14 update introduced significant PvP pacing and defensive adjustments. That background explains why the evening hotfix matters: guides quoting the original 0.3-second figure may already be outdated. Players testing rotations and mitigation windows should validate the post-hotfix behavior in the Korean client.
The same maintenance also fixed a cosmetic clipping issue in which a cloak protruded from the Little Ghost pet while mounted.
Maintenance compensation is historical, not an active claim
A special rare supply chest could be claimed October 14 at 20:00 through October 15 at 20:00 KST. Its listed contents were three Life Crystals, two Resurrection Spiritstones, three Combat Enhancement Scrolls and two Small Od Energy. The notice also specified a November 4, 05:00 KST usage or expiry limit for relevant package contents. Because the claim window has ended, these details are provided for documentation, not as a current giveaway.
Global players: NC has not confirmed that this Korean 0.1-second adjustment is active or scheduled on the Steam Global service. It should only be viewed as a region-specific balance development.
