Region: AION 2 Steam/PURPLE Global. On October 28, 2026, NC Japan published an infographic summarizing the Global service through October 20. The figures cover the first 20 days after Early Access began on September 30. They are cumulative launch-period metrics, not a snapshot of concurrent users and not statistics for the separate Korea or Taiwan services.
The Global service’s first-20-day totals
NC’s infographic reports the following figures:
| Metric | Cumulative total through Oct. 20 |
|---|---|
| Characters created | More than 6.3 million |
| Total player play time | 108.2 million hours |
| Twitch watch time | 35.6 million hours |
| Party dungeon runs | 21.1 million |
| Instance dungeon clears | 53.2 million |
A character-creation count is not the same as a count of unique people or accounts. Likewise, total play time is accumulated time; it should not be mistaken for concurrent player numbers. The infographic does not provide a breakdown by individual server region.
Which classes did players choose most?
NC Japan also shared the distribution of the most selected classes:
| Class | Share of selections |
|---|---|
| Gladiator | 17% |
| Chanter | 13% |
| Sorcerer | 13% |
Gladiator led the chart, with Chanter and Sorcerer tied behind it. This is a character-selection measure as of October 20—not a PvE damage ranking, PvP win-rate table, or proof that one class is stronger than another.
What the dungeon figures do—and do not—tell us
The infographic records 21.1 million party-dungeon runs and 53.2 million instance-dungeon clears. These are activity counts, not unique-player totals. A player can enter content repeatedly and can participate on more than one character.
The numbers are useful as a broad picture of early Global-service activity across group and instanced content. They do not reveal average runs per player, completion rates by dungeon, or the difficulty of individual encounters.
How to read the data
- Cutoff: October 20, 2026.
- Publisher: NC Japan, in an October 28 release.
- Scope: The release explicitly describes the Global service; it is not a Japan-only server report.
- Not equivalent to: 6.3 million unique players, 108.2 million hours online at once, or a class power ranking.
