Applies only to AION 2 Korea, following the October 7, 2026 Korean update. These adjustments have not been confirmed for Steam/PURPLE Global or the Taiwan service.
Not every meaningful progression patch revolves around a new boss. Korea’s October 7 update changes where players can source Stigma Shards, softens the disadvantage of lower Daily Dungeon scores, and expands access to some tempering materials. Taken together, these measures are relevant to ordinary daily play.
Three extra shop inventories to check
Korean characters can now find Stigma Shards listed for purchase in the Abyss Shop, Nightmare Shop, and Shugo Festa Shop.
These are distinct sources with their own associated activities. Their addition is not proof of identical currencies, prices or quantity caps. Players planning a farming loop should check each Korean in-game shop before committing resources.
The Abyss Shop has another economy adjustment: an option for Daeva(n)ion Crystal: Asphel (Bound) requiring fewer Abyss Points has been added. That is a specific purchasing option, not an announcement of an across-the-board reduction in all Abyss goods.
Lower Daily Dungeon scores become more worthwhile
Rewards for lower scoring bands in Daily Dungeons have been improved, and the difference between score brackets has narrowed. The intent is clear from the patch wording, but it does not say that score tiers were removed or that every clear pays the same amount.
For players without perfectly optimized runs, the change may alter the value of completing daily entries. Actual returns should be judged against current Korean game results rather than an assumed new universal payout.
Where tempering materials changed
The Korean patch also improves the chance of higher-grade tempering materials in Muspel’s Chalice at Normal and Hard, and in Snowfield of Sorrow at Easy, Normal and Hard. A bound top-grade Master Tempering Stone was added to the Expedition exchange shop.
Better odds are still odds, not a guaranteed drop every run. The announcement does not provide grounds for inventing precise percentages.
Global relevance is observational only. The Korean team is adjusting resource acquisition through both shops and instances. That does not establish a future Global rollout, a matching patch date or identical rewards outside Korea.
