AION 2 Korea’s September 23 update rotates the Trial from Baekron’s Floating Isle to Fire Temple and introduces a useful quality-of-life change for Soul Engraving. These are Korean-service changes and should not be read as confirmed Steam Global launch features.
Fire Temple starts at level 50 and item level 4,800
The Korean update lists level 50 and item level 4,800 as the entry requirements.
Its difficulty is modular rather than a single preset. Players combine settings across Time Limit, Revival Limit, Boss Enhance and PC Weaken, producing a final difficulty from stage 4 up to stage 16.
Clears award a dedicated Trial currency, with reward limits resetting on a weekly basis.
Soul Engraving gets automatic tuning
Soul tuning cast time has also been shortened, and the system now includes an Auto Tune option.
Players can select target options and let tuning repeat automatically until one of those options appears or the registered materials run out. For anyone rerolling engravings repeatedly, this removes a significant amount of manual input.
Useful precedent, not a Global promise
Korea is substantially ahead of the upcoming Steam build. NC has not confirmed that Fire Temple’s current difficulty structure or Soul Engraving Auto Tune will be present in Global at launch, so the update is best treated as a look at how the live Korean service is evolving.
