AION 2 Korea’s September 23 update continued to tune large-scale Abyss play by adding a Battlefield Authority effect and refreshing server matchups. These are Korean-service changes, not confirmed Steam Global launch rules.
Recent update documentation shows Battlefield Authority activating around designated Abyss bosses. Several existing combat buffs are replaced by the new baseline, with related rules also used in Abyss Rift areas and Rift Domination. Boss and objective health values were adjusted alongside it.
Community tracker A2TOOL records the September 23 cycle as the seventh Chapter 1 Abyss matching update. Regular Abyss players may therefore face a different faction balance and artifact-control pattern.
The same update set also improves return protection, entry positions and objective warnings in Rift Domination. NC has not confirmed the same setup for Steam Global, so Korea remains a live-service reference rather than a Global promise.
