AION 2 Early Access Uses Two Server Waves: How Matching and Markets Will Work

AION 2’s September 30 Advanced Access is not simply five extra days on one permanent launch pool. NC’s published plan separates the rollout into Early Access Servers first and additional Launch Servers when the game fully opens on October 5.

Two server waves

Founder’s Pack players enter the Early Access Servers during the advance period. At full launch, new Launch Servers are added. Players arriving on October 5 may also be able to join an Early Access Server if that server remains open and has capacity.

That makes the initial server choice important, but it does not isolate Founders from everyone who starts later.

Dungeon and Abyss matching use different rules

During Advanced Access, dungeon matchmaking works across Early Access Servers within the same region. After full launch, the matchmaking pool expands to include both Early Access and Launch Servers.

Abyss matchmaking is handled more cautiously. It starts among Early Access Servers, then after launch NC intends to account for server progress and strength when building matchups so servers at very different stages are not treated as identical.

Local market first, regional market later

The Kina-based Server Market is available from the start of Advanced Access. The Cross-Server Market, which connects a wider regional economy, is not scheduled to open at the beginning of Advanced Access or immediately at launch. NC plans to wait until participating servers are at more comparable stages.

NC has also committed to a Server Transfer Service after it evaluates population and occupancy, although timing and detailed conditions remain pending.

For groups and guilds entering September 30, the practical advice is still to coordinate server choice. Cross-server content reduces some barriers, but the local market and later transfer policy mean the home server continues to matter.
